Ted was born and raised in Atlantic, Iowa, where his family owned and published the daily newspaper there. He graduated from the Univ. of Nebraska with a Journalism-Advertising degree and returned to Atlantic to work in the family business until it was sold in 1989. He moved to Austin with wife Mary in 1996. She has worked in women’s clothes retailing the entire time, while Ted became a
licensed Texas Realtor in 2002.

His areas of expertise are re-lo and first-time buyers as well as people selling to move up or out. He isn’t your typical Realtor; he will tell a client “yes” or “no” to matters having to do with properties rather than say what they want to hear. There are many pitfalls in real estate and Ted anticipates each one so they can be avoided. Number one is making sure the clients’ goals are ultimately and satisfactorily achieved.
