Pecan Park Place is a gated community and was started only a few years ago.  It fell into bankruptcy, suffering the common fate of many developers the past few years, and is now back better than ever with America’s Homebuilder, D. R. Horton.

Pecan Park Place Location

Pecan Park Place is located along the south side of Pecan Park Blvd. west of Hwy. 183 and south of RM 620.  The large subdivision Villages at Anderson Mill is adjacent south.  This location makes commuting further into Austin a breeze.  Schools (including one high school ranked in Newsweeks’ Top 100) are nearby and shopping is at the doorstep.  Major roads are right here within a few blocks.  This is truly a great little new niche community that features new construction in a 115-lot infill location.  Homes are selling fast.  In January 2012, ten were sold.

Pecan Park Place Schools

Within the Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD), school children living in Pecan Park Place attend Anderson Mill Elementary, Grisham Middle School, and Westwood High School — one of Newsweek Magazines’s top one hundred high schools in America.  Private school options are good.  Hill Country Christian School is nearby on RM 620.  It was voted “Best Private School” in 2011 by Austin Family Magazine readers.  Pre-schools close include Austin Children’s Academy, Wanna Play Daycare, and Stepping Stone.

Pecan Park Place Amenities

Admittedly, there are not many amenities in Pecan Park Place.  But there is a very nice swimming pool and relaxation area.  The neighborhood is sort of an oasis in the city, so it’s very walkable.  The streets are newly paved and old-fashioned street lights show the way.  There are neighborhood and community parks nearby that are open to the public.  Because there are not many amenities within Pecan Park Place, the monthly HOA dues are only $95.  The money pays for pool operation and maintenance. the two gated entry points, and some common areas nicely landscaped.
