Cross Creek is one of those rare small Cedar Park neighborhoods lying in Travis County. There are only 113 houses in all with construction beginning in the mid 1970′s on just three streets, Martha Ann Drive, Running Doe Lane, and Fawnvalley Drive. Buck Run is the short street off FM 1431 that brings you north into the neighborhood.

Cross Creek is just off FM 1431 on the west edge of Cedar Park. In fact, Buck Run and Martha Ann Drive are the Cedar Park city limits and butt right up against Leander on Cross Creek’s NW side. HUR Industrial Park is to its immediate east, as is the new Veterans Memorial Park at West New Hope Drive. FM 1431 was straightened and widened in 2009 in this area, so access is safer and more convenient than it used to be. Some of the privacy has been forfeited perhaps, but Cross Creek still rates very private as Cedar Park neighborhoods go, due to its rural setting.

Cross Creek has a great location, close to FM 1431 which is the road to Lake Travis and all its water recreation and dining opportunities in the Village of Volente, Jonestown, Lago Vista, Point Venture and on up to Marble Falls. Going the other way towards Cedar Park, it’s a short two-mile drive to Lakeline Blvd., just more than three miles to Hwy. 183, four and a quarter miles to Hwy. 183A Toll, and another seven from there to I-35 in Round Rock.
Cross Creek is convenient to recreation, too. Practically next door to the east at FM 1431 and West New Hope Drive is the City of Cedar Park’s brand new Veterans Memorial Park with memorial, dog park, tennis court, large swimming pool and picnic pavilion. Between Cross Creek and Veterans Park is the Cedar Park driving range, where you can tune up your golf swing. The Village of Volente has its famous Volente Water Park situated right on the shore of Lake Travis with water slides, beach, toys and things you’d find at a small water park. Gofl is not far away either. You can travel north to play at Crystal Falls, south to play Twin Creeks, east to Avery Ranch, and west to Jonestown’s The Hollows, the Club in Lago Vista or the Club in Point Venture.
Cross Creek Schools
Cross Creek is located with the Leander Independent School District (LIS. Resident students attend Mason Elementary, Running Brushy and Leander High Schools. A private Christian school called Harbor Leadership Academy is on the south side of FM 1431 with education K-12 age children with learning disabilities. Not too far away are other private pre-schools and K-12 schools, including Kids R Kids, a couple Montessori schools, Summit Christian Academy, and Austin Community College campuses in Cedar Park and Round Rock.
Cross Creek Real Estate
Cross Creek is small with only 113 houses. In the past two years, only one home has sold through the Austin Central Texas Realty Information Services’ MLS. A typical home is about 2,000 square feet and sells for $90 to $110 per square foot. Lots tend to be oversized for city streets and Cross Creek is heavily wooded, further lending to its feeling of privacy and seclusion.
