Cypress Bend was built mostly the late 80′s through mid 90′s and is located between Sun Chase Blvd. on the east, Cypress Creek Road on the south, Summit Christian Academy and a greenbelt stretching from there back to Milburn Park on the west, to Azalea Drive and Blue Sage Drive at its northwest corner.

Cypress Bend has a voluntary homeowners association called the Cypress Bend Neighborhood Association.  Dues are also voluntary at $40 per year.

Cypress Bend’s location makes it convenient to RR 620 to the south, FM 1431 to the north, Hwy. 183 and 183A to the east, and FM 2769 | Volente Road to the west.  The latter is the shortest route to nearby beautiful, clean Lake Travis just four miles away.

El Salido Pkwy. terminates in Cypress Bend at the Cypress Bend Park.  Across El Salido Pkwy. to the east is Elizabeth Milburn Park, Cedar Park’s flagship park, complete with huge heated year ’round competition and recreation pool, picnic pavilion, tennis courts, community garden spot, soccer and baseball fields, and basketball court.  The City of Cedar Park hosts is annual Fourth of July Celebration, a day long event capped by fireworks at 9:10, here.

Schools Near Cypress Bend

Unlike some of the nearby subdivisions, Cypress Bend contains no school.  Directly south and just on the other side of Cypress Creek Road is Cedar Park High School.  Just a few blocks east of CPHS is Cedar Park Middle School and a few to the northwest and just across Anderson Mill Road is Deer Creek Elementary.  These three public schools are part of the Leander Independent School District (LISD).

Right next to it at its western corner is Summit Christian Academy.  And a few blocks east on Cypress Creek Road is a campus of the Austin Community College.

Shopping and Retail Near Cypress Bend

Given Cypress Bend’s location on El Salido Pkwy. and Cypress Creek Road, it’s a quick jaunt to retail shopping and restaurants at several nearby locations: Cypress Creek Road | Lakeline Blvd., Lakeline Mall and Plaza at Hwy. 183 | RR 620, all along RR 620 between Volente Road and North Lake Creek Pkwy. just east of Hwy. 183, Hwy. 183 | FM 1431, and 1890 Ranch at Hwy. 183A and FM 1431.

Drive Times and Transportation Options from Cypress Bend

The drive into Austin and all it has to offer is about 2 miles.  The Arboretum and The Domain are 11 miles and downtown Austin is 21 miles.  Cap Metro Rail has a station 3.5 miles away on Lakeline Blvd. between Hwy. 183 and Parmer Lane.  Cap Metro has rail service to the Austin Convention Center and points between and has a large parking lot for people who wish to park and ride.
