Cypress Mill in Cedar Park is another of those small subdivisions mixed with some retail and schools.  In this case, Cedar Park High School of the Leander Independent School District (LISD) takes up about half of the acreage constituting Cypress Mill.  There are between 180 and 190 homes.

Classified as being in southwest Cedar Park, Cypress Mill is bounded by a line just north of Dayflower Trace, west of Sun Chase Blvd., east of Anderson Mill Road and mostly south of Cypress Creek Road …with portions north of it.  It is really nicely situated in relation to the closest arterial roads, RR 620, Anderson Mill Road, Lakeline Blvd. and Hwy. 183.  They lead to others not far away such as FM 1431, I-35, RR 2222, Volente Road, and Parmer Lane — some of which lead right to beautiful, clean Lake Travis and its many recreational offerings.  Just across the street west of Cedar Park High School is the bonafide start of the Texas Hill Country, with its lakes, rivers, hills and canyons.

Cypress Creek Neighborhood

In addition to being in the southwest part of Cedar Park, it is mostly also in the southwest part of Williamson County.  In fact, Anderson Mill Road is part of Travis County and the Austin city limits are only 1.9 miles away via Anderson Mill Road.

Schools in Cypress Creek

Part of the LISD, Cedar Park High School is within the neighborhood.  It competes on the 5A level of the Texas UIL.  Just on the other side of the Cypress Creek western line on the SE corner of Cypress Creek Road and Sun Chase Blvd. is Cedar Park Middle School.  Elementary age students will attend either of two nearby schools: Deer Creek or Naumann.

Half a mile to the east is an Austin Community College campus.  Just across Cypress Creek Road is Summit Christian Academy, a private school.

Cypress Creek Shopping

Shopping and dining areas within one half to three miles include Cypress Creek | Lakeline Blvd. node, RR 620 | Anderson Mill Road, Lakeline Mall and Lakeline Plaza on Hwy. 183 at RR 620, Four Points at RR 620 | RR 2222, Lake Creek Festival south of Hwy. 183 and RR 620, and Hwy. 183 | FM 1431 among others.

Recreation Near Cypress Creek

Elizabeth Milburn Park is just on the other side of Cypress Creek Road.  It has a large swimming pool, picnic pavilion, tennis courts, soccer fields and a lot of open space.  This is where the City of Cedar Park hosts its annual Fourth of July festivities.

The Sandy Creek Arm of Lake Travis is just down FM 2769 | Volente Road a few miles.  There are boat and camper storage areas along the way; you can keep them on-site within Cypress Creek.
