Westside Preserve at Buttercup Creek is located in south central Cedar Park a mile south of FM 1431. It is one of Cedar Park’s newer moderately upscale neighborhoods and has its own elementary school.

Except for several streets of homes on the NE quadrant of Lakeline Blvd. and Buttercup Creek Blvd., it is bounded by Anderson Mill Road on the west, Lakeline Blvd. on the east, Buttercup Creek Blvd. on the south and the quarry on the north in Cedar Park. It is accessed via several points on Lakeline Blvd. and one on Anderson Mill Road.

Amenities Close to Westside Preserve
Westside Preserve has two swimming pools — one junior Olympic size and playground with kiddie pool and cabana. The City of Cedar Park has three other pools nearby residents can enjoy: Buttercup, Elizabeth Milburn and Veterans — each in parks carrying their names. Tennis courts are also at each of those parks, as are picnic areas and playgrounds.
Nearby shopping opportunities can be found a mile and a quarter south at Cypress Creek Road, Lakeline Mall a mile and a half further south, Hwy. 183 a mile and a quarter east, and 1890 Ranch 3 miles east on FM 1431.
Lake Travis is very close. Just 4 miles away via Anderson Mill Road, Volente Road and Bullick Hollow Road is the Sandy Creek arm of the lake, complete with boat ramp, parking and picnic area. A couple dry dock storage areas lie between Westside Preserve and Lake Travis.

Subject to change school year to school year, currently resident children attend Westside Elementary within the neighborhood, Artie Henry Middle School and Vista Ridge High School east a few miles on Vista Ridge Pkwy. between Brushy Creek Road and FM 1431.
Commute to Austin from Westside Preserve
The distance from Westside Preserve to downtown Austin is 21 miles and takes about 32 minutes to drive on average.
For those who wish not to drive into Austin’s CBD, the Capital Metro rail line is an option. The closest park and drive stop is only 4 miles away — less than a mile east of Lakeline Blvd. and Hwy. 183.
