Bar-K Ranch is a large subdivision on Lago Vista’s north side. It straddles both sides of FM 1431 and is before the Lohman Ford stoplight from the north and a quarter mile past it when coming from the south. Gas, groceries and general merchandise are available at the FM 1431 & Lohman Ford intersection.

As members of Lago Vista Property Owners Association (POA), residents have quick and easy access to the POA amenities lying within Bar-K Ranch. They include the community center, Bar-K Park with pool, picnic pavilion, boat ramp, soccer and baseball fields, lakeside shade trees and picnic tables.
Also within Bar-K Ranch are the Lago Vista Sports Complex with swimming pool, picnic area, tennis courts and playground. Just north of the Sports Complex is the Bar-K golf course.
The police department is also houses within the Bar-K Ranch neighborhood.
Bar-K Schools
The Lago Vista High and Middle Schools are also here with their buildings, grounds and amenities, including Sisemore Field where the Vikings play their home football games.
Airport in Bar-K Ranch
On the east side of FM 1431 is the Airpower Museum and Library at the Rusty Allen Airport. Open by appointment, it features 350 model aircraft of all nations that flew in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. There are also 1,200 books and hundreds of wartime photos. A display of engines, guns, swords, diaries, flying helmets, a couple jets, and a WWII Jeep rounds of the offerings.
The airport currently is home to 59 aircraft and a number of new hangars. The airport is operated by the City of Lago Vista, and resides with the Rusty Allen Airport Property Owners Association formed in 1994.
