Point Venture is at mile 18 on the north shore of Lake Travis and a 24-mile drive from Austin. To get here, you must take FM 1431 to Lohman Ford Road. At the light, turn west (left if northbound and right if southbound) and take it all the way to the Point Venture security gate — 7 miles. Across Lake Travis is Lakeway on the south shore.

Point Venture itself has no school, so students K-12 attend the nearby Lago Vista School District schools.
